Hi. Today I'll show you how to make an Adjustable Switching Mode Power Supply with both a Buck (step-down) and Boost (Step-up) capability. It takes an input of 10-15V and can deliver an adjustable output voltage from 2-50V DC at a maximum wattage of about 300 Watts. It's built around the TL494 PWM IC and has over current and short circuit protection by means of current limiting.
