SG3525 DC to AC inverter circuit
Hi. In today's video tutorial I'll show you how to make a 12v to 220v DC to AC inverter with a power capacity of at least 600 watts. The circuit is built around the SG3525 pwm IC, which with its unique features makes the circuit simple and reliable. The inverter circuit is a low frequency type (typically 50/60Hz) as per recommendations for most countries. With this in perspective, the transformer must be a low frequency Iron Cored one with a power handling capacity of 600W or more. The obvious transformer choice would be a reworked MOT (microwave oven transformer) due to their easy availability and solid power handling capacities, or just any other transformer will work okay. A H-Bridge makes it even better because it eliminates the need for a transformer with a center tap, and also ensures you can achieve high power output levels by using powerful mosfets.
